We just got back from our holidays yesterday. We went stayed in a cottage on Parma Farm which is a beautiful farm about 15-20 mins drive inland from Jervis Bay. It was so peaceful at the farm, the kids had a great time, Matty loved the dogs and made “friends” with one of the cats. As well as the dogs and cats the farm has chickens (yummy yummy eggs), cows, horses, ducks, a turtle ( we found him in our cottage garden), frogs…and many birds. It was so fun.

Jervis Bay itself is so beautiful. Surrounded by national park there are no huge developments and you can go to many of the beaches that are just surrounded by bushland. Beautiful turquoise water so clear that you are able to see schools of fish darting around, wallaby’s and and the rainbow colours of the birds flying around. Matty loved it there. As it is a very sheltered bay the waves are very small or non existent so Matty enjoyed splashing in the water, building and then destroying white sand castles, and trying to get Jesse to play in the sand (Jesse does NOT like the feel of sand in his toes or the water lapping his legs).

We spent most of our time at the farm, the beautiful beaches (Hyams Beach is so white- C&L there was NO seaweed this time just white sand and sparkling water plus a dolphin and penguin), playing at the park in Huskisson and walking to different lookouts.  Very peaceful and laid back.

I love being near the ocean so much. I could listen to the sound of the surf for hours. I love the way it is able to block out other sounds so you are just left with the rolling and crashing of the waves. One day maybe we might live a bit closer to the ocean (in an area that is not built up) so that we can enjoy  it more. One day…

Matty starts preschool soon. Scary!! My eldest littlest boy is really growing up. He will start in term 2, just after his third birthday. Only one day a week, but still a scary that he wont be home that day.

He will be going to one about 5mins drive away, and he is very much looking forwards to it. We would have preferred him to go to one just down the road but despite the fact that we put his name down middle of last year (months before most people) they don’t have a place because he was to young to start in term 1.  Annoying but I can understand. Anyway the other one still is good just not as close.

Matty is talking non stop now, he has so much to say about everything!! Jese is cruising around now. He isn’t talking yet but I think that he is grasping the concept that the sounds we are making actually mean something and he is trying to imitate us. Very cute. Jester is a little rascal. In to everything and seems to have a lot less fear than Matty. Probably as he watches Matty do everything and thinks “I can do it too!!”

I love my boys so much.
